Have faith in HP’s Touchpad and feel betrayed and ripped off at the sudden price drop to $99? Have no fear HP’s going to stand by you and give you some of your money back. If you bought your TouchPad from HP.com you can call them up and request a full refund or reimbursement for the difference between the price you paid and the current price.

If you didn’t buy it from HP, supposedly the failing tablet manufacturer is asking their retail partners over at BestBuy, Staples or any other store to honor the refund. Its not known if the retailers will actually agree so you might want to keep trying because it might take a while for HP to convince them to go through with it. The HP TouchPad launched between $499 and $599 and announced last week they would be discontinuing the tablet, so you could potentially get a refund large enough to buy another tablet! Let us know how it turns out for you if you bought the TouchPad. Via Liliputing
