Our colleague, Pierre has once again landed a scoop. After the presentation of the updated Eee PC at CeBIT Seashell Series he has uncovered these first official photos of the new ASUS Eee PC 1015PE. We have already seen this device at CeBIT and is already quite popular, as it is the successor to the Eee PC 1005P/PE. It has a mat plastic casing, which is a grease magnet over a finger print magnet, a 10.1-inch display with 1024 × 600 pixels, 160 GB or 250 GB hard drive and either Windows XP or Window 7.
Under the hood, we cane choose between the Intel Atom N450 or the slightly faster 1.83 GHz Intel Atom N470. There are actually a few innovations in the model including an on-off switch for the Webcam and a redesigned trackpad. When and at what price the new ASUS Eee PC goes on sale 1015PE remains to be seen. For now you’ll have all these pictures to peruse.
