The WePad conference which Roland, our partner in crime over at NetbookNews.de described the event as one of the strangest he’s attended in all his years as a Journalist! The WePad was running a scripted demo so the guys didn’t have a chance to get an idea of how the machine would feel while it was running. Knowing what CPU is running is pretty different from actually interacting with the UI for 5 minutes. There was one working demo which you were able to interact with, no one really got their hands on it to play but we do have a video of it in action, there is a mob of journos and bloggers but the vantage we have is front row and up close and personal.
The WePad by Neofonie is a 11,6-inch multitouch display running Intel Atom N450, 16-32GB SSD, Wifi (optional 3G), GPS and an optional HD accelerator. Enjoy the video below!
