In the world of full size computers plugging in a wireless USB mouse and having it work is go for par, but its not in the Android table world. Android 3.1 actually comes standard with USB host capabilities, the catch it they need to have full-sized USB ports and so far only the the Toshiba Thrive so far has offered that. However, the Asus Eee Pad Slider when its released will join the ranks.

A Romanian blogger took a video yesterday of the tablet with a keyboard that slides out and today he posted another video showing off the USB capabilities of the tablet. He plugs in a wireless mouse, which like i mentioned above is a big deal since until the Thrive & now the Slider you’ve only been able to support peripherals through Bluetooth or the one off gaming controller.

The Asus Eee Pad Slider features a 10.1 inch, 1280 x 800 resolution display with NVIDIA Tegra 2 and Android 3.1. We’ve hot no official word on availability but we heard its going to be released sometime in the Fall, but if we’re seeing early samples pop up its probably the early Fall.

Of course, if you consider the keyboard dock to be part of the Asus Eee Pad Transformer (which I think you should), then it, too, provides USB host support.
