Ah, Fusion Garage, they were right back there helping out TechCrunch fulfill a dream for an Internet surfing slab named the CrunchPad well before the that craze even got off the ground, let alone Apple’s first iPad. Things didn’t turn out as expected, Fusion Garage took ownership of the tablet, renamed it the JooJoo and eventually failed to impress consumers with a poorly designed user interface among other issues, but it found new life at the end of 2010 in a few vertical markets.

Fusion Garage started talking about a JooJoo 2 sequel in the latter months of 2010. It was to be based on Android and arrive in early 2011 if not the first half of 2011 (as seen on their website), which never happened obviously. Fast forward to today, and the company has sent in filings to the FCC for a tablet named “Grid 10″. Judging by the dimensions and that name we’re looking at a 10-inch tablet that’s GSM based with support for W-CDMA 3G.
