Singapore is the first South-east Asian country to see the launch of Lenovo’s two Honeycomb tablets. Both the Lenovo K1 and the Thinkpad Tablet run Nvidia Tegra 2 with the usual – a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 display, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, Android 3.1 Honeycomb and 16GB / 32GB and 64GB of internal storage options. Additional specs include front 2MP / rear 5MP cameras, stereo speakers, b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, optional W-CDMA / EV-DO 3G with a couple of ports – micro HDMI and a micro SD card reader. Lenovo rates the battery at about 10 hours. In terms of size and thickness, it’s contending for the thickest and heaviest Android tablet at 13.3mm thick and 1.7 pounds.

The ThinkPad tablet comes with the same features as IdeaPad K1 plus enterprise friendly features like Cisco VPN and encrypted SD card support, along with the potential to make custom OS images.

The main selling point of this tablet duo is Netflix support, which makes this tablet the first tablet to have it officially, with hardware DRM support built-in. Lenovo will have their own app store for curating apps specifically optimized for Honeycomb tablets.
