iPad LapDock

Our daily iPad news we explore making it more of a productivity device a resourceful inventor has made the LapDock, basically its a carved wooden cased designed the iPad and bluetooth keyboard that turns it into a kind of netbook that can be used on your lap. The approach is quite interesting, and makes some people wonder if this will replace netbooks. I have one things to say one thing about this statement: If your changing the form factor to copy a netbook, how can netbooks be dead?

Enjoy the video and tell me if this devices signals the end to netbooks?

Eh, if anything this just turns the ipad into a smart book sans the trackpad. For me even if I have a mouse attached its really easy to just move the mouse a bit with your thumb on the trackpad, you don't want to have to reach up at the screen just to click a link.
Is pretty cool tho, reminds be of the Lenovo U1 a bit, it could be a smartbook where you can take the top bit off to go with you.
