There is are new budget tablets launching from UK company AndyPad in September. The AndyPad and the AndyPad Pro are 7″ Android 2.3 tablets running an unnamed 1.2GHz Cortex A8 chip. They have settled on 512MB of RAM without a bump to its 129 pound price tag. Touch screen is confirmed to be resistive. It’s still got Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 8GB of internal storage, 1080p HDMI and Wi-Fi.
The company has decided to release a ‘Pro’ version of the AndyPad given the attention the press / media has given them. This version will be aimed at adults / tech enthusiasts as opposed to the lower end AndyPad which is aimed at kids and young adults. It’ll have a capacitive touch screen, front and rear cameras among “many other additional features” at a similar price point to the original AndyPad.
We’ve discovered a hands on video on AndyPad’s YouTube channel, if you want to check it out it just below.
