The Asus Eee Pad Slider has hit the news recently this month as the tablet hybrid has been delayed in the UK from August to sometime in Autumn (Fall) while Poland may be launching as scheduled at the end of August. Maybe the US will get it in August too? There’s no official word but at least it’s now up for pre-order in the US at ExcaliberPC. No ETA and no pricing so it’s still early days if they don’t even have pricing. Let us know if you spot it at other retailers.
There are two models, one with 16GB, another with 32GB of storage. Model no.s SL101-A1 and SL101-B1. Specs listed – Nvidia Tegra 2 chip, 1GB of RAM, 1280 x 800 10.1-inch IPS capacitive touch display, slide-out keyboard, 1.2M / 5M front and rear cameras, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB 2.0, mini HDMI 1.3a, MicroSD card reader, GPS, an 8 hour battery and Android 3.1 Honeycomb.
