As scheduled, the Acer Chromia 700 (AC700) 11.6-inch Chromebook is now shipping at Amazon.com in a Wi-Fi only flavor, for $349. Same Atom N570 processor as on the Samsung Series 5 Chromebook except Samsung gets the thumbs up for sticking in a very bright matte display as opposed to always glossy on Acer’s. Additional specs include 2GB of DDR3 RAM, a 16GB SSD, 1.3MP webcam, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, 2x USB 2.0 ports, HDMI out, 6 hour battery life and a weight of 3.2 lbs.
The 3G model of the Acer Chromia 700 will be released sometime this summer.
