Now with the iPad 2 out of the way, the next iPad release is surely going to have a higher resolution display right? It will, and it’ll hit later this year according to a source tipping various sites including This Is My Next. The next release won’t be the iPad 3 but the iPad HD or Plus which is to be a high-end version of the iPad 2, aimed at “media professionals” with a double-resolution 2048 x 1536 display and some high-end professional software like iPad versions of Final Cut or Aperture.
