BloXpander Screen Shot

Want to record your live music directly to your netbook AND then mix and edit it? BloXpander is a music application for musicians and engineers but specifically designed for Netbooks. Its software not hardware, which is interesting because most programs of similar functionality require a dedicated device. It is avisually attractive and clear, the construction of projects and the access to prepared instruments and effects is very fast. The plugins by ConcreteFX, Musicrow and Kjaerhus manipulation is direct (especially when BloXpander is coupled to an external MIDI controller).

Here are the basic hardware specifications for your netbook:

  • Operating system : Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7
  • Processor speed : 1.5 GHz (minimum)
  • RAM : 1 Go (minimum)
  • (the necessary memory amount depends on the loaded plugins)
  • Screen Resolution : 1024×600 pixels (minimum)
  • Plugins format : VST only
  • BloXpander requires an audio interface with ASIO drivers.
  • An access to the Internet is required to authorize the software.

We’ll be asking them for a demo copy of our own, but in the mean time here is a demo video:
