We can rely on MSI to produce 12″ notebooks sporting CULV or AMD Neo Processors but we don’t see many, or any, with a dual core AMD Neo Processor. We don’t have a photo yet but can give you an overview of what we found on the Energy Star website where the listing is found.
The MSI U250 is going to have a 1.3GHz AMD Athlon II Neo dual core K325 CPU, also known as the AMD Geneva K325 processor. Its going to be running Windows 7 with 4GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, and a video card with 512MB of dedicated video memory. We are guessing that it is going be usuing the usual ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics. Brad from Liliputing who tipped us off to the listing also notes that it uses about 30.7kWh of electricity per year and consumes about 10.6 watts when idle.
We also think that we should stop one rumor before it starts, Energy Star lists the U250 as a notebook/tablet but they have several notebooks with similar description but clearly don’t have touchscreen upon shipping.
Thanks Brad
