The standard 2.5 inch HDD is often lacking in the speed department. Do you often find yourself quoting Maverick from Top Gun “I feel the need, the need for speed!” You answered yes to that question (unless you are using alien technology). Well Corsair has you covered with their new Force GT SSD which offers 550 MBps read and 525 MBps write speeds. All this provided by a SATA III interface which is also SATA II backwards compatible.

Prices start at $149 for the 60GB version and $279 for the 120GB version. It’s a bit pricey, with a ratio of nearly $3 for every 1GB on the 60GB model. However the 120GB version is a bit more economical, saving $20 when compared to purchasing two of the 60GB model. The drives will also ship with a 3.5 inch adapter if  you’re into that kind of thing -desktops.
