Tablets, when are they not in the news these days? Xavier Lanier from GotToBeMobile is in LosAngles this week with HP’s workstation group. He seems to have made some friends with the PhaseSpace team who showed him their motion capture system. It combines motion capture suits, a pair of HP Workstations Z800’s, an array of sensor cameras and an HP TouchSmart TM2.
In this scenario the HP touchsmart is merely being used as a camera and is not doing the real time rendering, of the multiple sensors appearing on the suit. Never the less, we see why a tablet must be used, anything smaller and you wouldn’t be able to get a sense of what is going on. Enjoy the video, its pretty neat!
