Update 3: J&R now has a pre-order up for the black model. Again $499. They’ve listed the full specs so I’ve added them immediately below – none of it confirmed by Lenovo just yet. Amazon.com pre-order pages still down. Nothing at Lenovo.com.

  • Android 3.0 Honeycomb
  • Nvidia Tegra 2 (T20)
  • 10.1″ 1280 x 800 display (multi-touch capacitive)
  • 32GB flash storage
  • 1GB DDR2 RAM
  • 2.0MP front / 5.0MP rear cameras
  • Stereo speakers
  • 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi / Bluetooth 2.1
  • Micro SD card reader, Micro HDMI, headphone, mic
  • 10 hour battery life
  • 10.4″ x 7.4″ x .0.52″
  • 1.65 pound / 750g weight

Update 2: Both products have been taken down from Amazon.com.

Update: In addition to the Black model mentioned below, there’s also a white model. No sighting of any 16GB models yet.

July is the month the Lenovo IdeaPad K1 launches. It’s been scheduled for roughly June or July as far back as I remember this year, has been getting it on as the LePad in China, recently confirmed in an affiliate newsletter mentioning “late June / July”  and spotted with a price tag at Office Depot. Following that is the tablet’s appearance at Amazon.com, up for pre-order for $499.99 matching that price tag at Office Depot. No ETA here but it shouldn’t be too long before Lenovo says something…

Interestingly, there’s the specs mention of a Tegra 2 chip (T20, 1GHz) rather than the Qualcom Snapdragon 1.3GHz one we’ve been hearing about in the past. The screen surely is 10.1-inch with a 1280 x 800 display with a Micro SD card reader, micro HDMI and SIM card slot. This should also include Android Honeycomb and 32GB of flash storage but we’ll wait for the official specs to clear things up.
