If you’ve got a Mac but grabbed a Playbook because its size, CPU and business focus were more your speed you’ll be happy to know that BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac 2.1 is out with support for the PlayBook.

BlackBerry Desktop Manager lets you sync data between a computer and your BlackBerry phone or tablet. Of course, since the PlayBook still doesn’t have native calendar, contact, or email apps, there’s only so much data you’ll want to synchronize.

What should get your excited about this announcement is that you will be able to keep pictures, movies, and music in sync without manually copying and pasting files. However, we are still waiting on native calendar, email, and contact apps which should be available at a later date.

It only took them two months to make this magic happen, another sign they pushed this tablet to market before the software was ready….good thing the hardware is fantastic!
