The Future of Interacting with Technology “Design Outside the Box”

We watch a lot of online talks at Netbook News, we put them on, we fall asleep, we marvel at their unoriginality or their lack of information. This talk has to be one of the best we have seen in a long time. At Dice 2010 Jesse Schell a Professor at the Carnegie Mellon University looks at the world of game development and extends it to our everyday reality, from which he extrapolates a minority report like future. He starts off with facebook and how people are interacting with it in their everyday lives, he then moves toward what will emerge from the popular “Facebook Games” era.
It is an inspirational yet slightly terrifying talk, that reminds us where this technological future could take us and makes us question how far our love of technology will take us.
