If you’re after a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and live in the US this is your lucky day! This iPad competitor is 0.01mm thinner and 0.09 pounds lighter, the 10.1 also packs a dual-core Tegra 2 processor, 1GB of RAM, two cameras, and 16GB of storage space.  Its gone on sale for $499 for te 16GB version and $599 for the 32GB tablet.

If you’re wondering if this tablet is for you, Joanna Stern over at Thisismynext published a review of a few day’s ago you should check out here. To give you the quick and dirty gist of the review the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is very light and thin with a bright display. When it comes to software its a clean build of Android 3.1 along side a decent software keyboard.  However, Android’s app selection leave alot to be desired when stacked up against iOS.  And in an area where you think Android would easily take the lead, connectivity, the 10.1 doesn’t offer mini-USB or a MicroSD card slot. If you’re seriously considering picking up this 10.1″ here are a few sites that will help you make this happen: Amazon, Tiger Direct, Best Buy and Samsung Direct so far they are all offering identical pricing.

If you pick one up let us know what you think.
