The tablet that packs all the ports you need and more, including the thickness and weight, the Toshiba Thrive, is now up for preorder with prices starting at $429 for 8GB of internal storage, $479 for 16GB and $579 for 32GB. You can put your preorder in at Amazon.com, Newegg, Best Buy and Toshiba Direct. It’ll start shipping out on July 10.
The Thrive comes with Android 3.1 Honeycomb, a 10.1″ 1280 x 800 IPS display, Nvidia Tegra 2 chip, 1GB of RAM, 2.0MP / 5.0MP front and rear cameras, b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and ports: USB, mini-USB, HDMI and full-sized SD Card reader. Key differentiating features include a variety of ports, a removable battery, interchangeable back covers of differing colors and Toshiba-specific sound and display enhancements.
There’s those accessories, too. The multimedia dock with HDMI costs $60, standard dock for $40, the colored back covers for $20, the screen protector $20 (available mid-July), the portfolio case is $40 and an extra battery is $90.
