The biggest draw back to the HTC Flyer is that it was launched with Android 2.3 rather then the all new tablet centric Honeycomb.  So its good hear that they haven’t neglected software updates for the 7 inch tablet.  HTC is meant to be sending the maintenance update as an over-the-air download pushed to the device. We’re hope that the software update actually optimizes the software to make it run faster, since this would be a notable ‘improvement in software performance’. The hope of the Flyer community wasthat this would be an Android 3.0 upgrade however it looks like we’ll still be waiting a while longer.

The Flyer has a touchscreen build that can handle capacitive touch as well as a digitizer pen, with 1024×600 resolution a single-core 1.5GHz processor, dual cameras, and 16GB of integrated storage.

If you’ve gotten the update let us know what they’ve improved in the comments below.
