Samsung updates Go Netbook with Pine Trail

March 7, 2010 by Jon Norris

That cute little Samsung Go N310 Netbook (you know the one – the one with the brightly coloured rubberised lids embossed with the Samsung logo) has finally got its Pine Trail upgrade.  The new N315 has exactly the same chassis as the old model, and the internals and the same too save for an Intel Atom N450 processor and a bigger hard drive – 250GB (those internals, by the way, are standard Netbook fare – 1GB RAM, Wifi b/g/n, Bluetooth, 10.1″ display).  The new model also comes with Windows 7 Starter instead of Windows XP.

The new model has a smaller battery good for about 4 and a half hours of usage.  This is down from an estimated 9 hours on the old model – but the price has fallen accordingly, the N315 costs $430 as opposed to the older N310’s $500 pricetag.

Amazon has an order page up right now.
