Sony’s dual screen 5.5-inch, Tegra 2 powered Honeycomb S2 tablet has hit the FCC, well before its scheduled worldwide release in fall / autumn (from September) along with the 9.7-inch S1 tablet, also Tegra 2 powered. The US version has model no. “SGPT211US” with 850 / 1900MHz 3G bands ready to go with AT&T along with a cellular modem that’s capable of HSPA+ “4G” speeds. Other than a removable battery (cool?) there’s nothing else new to report.
Not much was given in the way of specs when the tablet was officially announced back in April – Android 3.0 (most likely 3.1 by the time it hits), those dual-screen 5.5-inch touch screens, each with a 1024 x 480 resolution, cameras, Nvidia Tegra 2 and 3G / 4G and Wi-Fi only models.
