Late last year, Lenovo brought their ThinkPad Edge series of laptops down to 11.6-inches with the ThinkPad Edge 11, powered by first-gen Intel Core i processors, retaining an excellent chiclet keyboard and trackpad and the signature ThinkPad nub in the middle of the keyboard. One major blemish that kind of ruined the nice design, and seen also with the/ X120e was a bulging 6-cell battery. That’s been fixed in the latest 11.6-inch ThinkPad Edge E125 that Pocket-lint spotted at Computex last week.
No details were given on this new ThinkPad Edge E125 but it’ll have AMD Fusion Brazos given that it was hanging out at AMD’s press event. Of course, no word on specs, pricing nor a release date.
Design-wise it favors rounded curves over straight edges of the older designs and makes room for a flush 4-cell battery. Screen is still glossy. Excellent chiclet keyboard, signature nob and trackpad remains. Around the sides – 3x USB 2.0, one in yellow for charging devices, Ethernet, VGA, HDMI, headphone and card reader.
