The 7-inch slab of Honeycomb that is the Acer Iconia Tab A100 is, after a delay rumored to be due to Honeycomb incompatibility (apps) with the 7-inch display size, is expected out in Q3 – anytime between July and September. There’s a good chance we might see it pop up as early as July because the tablet has already landed at the FCC (without pics yet)
In May, This is My Next had the first hands on with the tablet with Honeycomb and here at Computex we’ve seen Acer add their own UI shell on top of the OS (hands on) so it seems to be coming along nicely. No word on a closer launch date here at Computex, still Q3. As we saw during the week pricing is expected to be between $449 and $499 with Wi-Fi and HSPA+ models.
