There were no shortage of tablets at Computex 2011 but there were only a few demo units running Nvidia’s Kal-El reference design. The tablet was running Android 3.1 on a 10-inch 1280 x 800 screen. We wish we could tell you about the ports and some of the tablet’s features but for now all we can do is show you its AMAZING performance.

We got to have a play with a few really cool demos, the first being “Glow Ball”, which shows off a rolling ball demonstrating an impressive display of dynamic lightning which is being rendered in real-time and scattered over a multiplicity of surfaces. We also got to take a look at the Unreal Development Kit and Lost Planet 2, which is a PC game that only took a few months to be ported over on to the Tegra 3 “Kal-El” architecture.

What should be getting you excited is that this platform will be rolling out on to tablets and smartphones in Q1 of next year so CES 2012 should be full of tablets with jaw dropping graphics performance.
