Acer insider Macles is retiring from the blogging world and further scoops but he leaves us with news of several upcoming Acer products which include a new netbook, a new Acer Ferrari One and an update on Acer’s Chromebook.
First, the netbook. It will be Cedar Trail, running on the upcoming Atom N2800 processor (1.86GHz dual core, details) and named the Acer Aspire One D270 (AOD270). It’ll have the “Happy treatment” which I guess means various colorful lid options. Hopefully there’s a new radical design change come the new platform.. wishful thinking?
Next, the new Acer Ferrari One. It’ll be named the Acer Ferrari One FO300 and be based on AMD’s Fusion platform, powered by either an upcoming C-60, E-300 or E-450 APU. Details on the new E-series can be found here, and the AMD C-60 here. We did hear a rumor about an AMD Fusion Ferrari One mid-last year but nothing ever materialized.
Lastly, an update on Acer’s Chromebook (Chrome OS). It’s actually has a name – the Acer Chromia 700. It’s officially scheduled to be available on June 15 from Amazon.com but Macles hears that it may be delayed by one to two weeks.
