At the MeeGo conference 2011 we ran into BasysKom who has developed two new UIs written in KDE plasma architecture (written in Qt) which are running on the WeTab.  The first UI was called Contour which is an innovative technology for a smarter user experience through analyzing context patterns. Contour uses activities to organize resources, recognize current context and provide intelligent recommendations for actions.  What makes demonstrations like this interesting is that the open source software which its based on aims to work cross-device on mobile, tablet, set-top, IVI and of course the netbook.

The other tablet was running Peregrine which is a real-time communication client for chat and VoIP which is highly customizable. It uses components with contact widgets and text and chat components. Peregrine is based on MeeGo and has customizable UI framework, its highly adaptable with its widget based components, and is easily imbedded into your applications.
