HP’s debut consumer Slate, the Touchpad, is expected to launch next month in June and we’ve seen stores like Staples, BestBuy and Amazon.com prepare product pages, although no pre-orders have started yet. We’ve got a very good idea on pricing as well since we saw a leak of Staples’ internal product calendar showing pricing between $499 and $599.

No doubt, $499 for 16GB and $599 for 32GB, both Wi-Fi models as we haven’t heard anything about 3G models. Today, PreCentral confirms pricing is indeed $599 for 32GB / WiFi as discovered in Walmart’s product database via anonymous tipster who follows that up by saying Walmart could have the tablet in stores as early as the 1st of June. As of right now there’s no sign of anything HP TouchPad at Walmart.com.

As for the 7-inch TouchPad, that’s apparently due out in September, according to the Staples’ product calendar which first gave us prices for this 9.7-inch TouchPad.
