Another product up for pre-order today. The ASUS Eee Box EB1021, which is basically the same Eee Box released years ago, with some minor design tweaks and with AMD Fusion instead of aging Atom processors. Pricing seems a tad expensive at $449 RRP but it’s up for $415 (minus shipping / taxes) and that’d be because W7 Pro is included, which is an odd choice for this device. I’d expect a cheaper sub $400 model with W7 HP soon.
What you get – an AMD Brazos E-350 processor (1.6GHz, dual core), Radeon HD 6310 graphics, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, 320GB HDD, 802.11n WiFi, Gigabit LAN, 2x USB 3.0, 4x USB 2.0, HDMI, VGA, S/PDIF out, SDXC card reader and Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.
Currently only a white model up. Expect a black model up soon.
