MyDigitalSSD has launched a new series of ‘Bullet Proof’ SSDs for the mobile market that use the new mini-SATA (mSATA) interface, introduced back in 2009 as a smaller yet speedy alternative to the standard SATA interface that can fit into increasingly thinner and smaller devices coming out into the market. Recent devices include the ASUS Eee Slate EP121, Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E220s and Google CR-48 Chrome notebooks.

‘Bullet Proof’ SSDs feature the Phison PS3105 SATA2 controller and Toshiba’s original 34nm flash chips and boast read and write speeds of up to 270MB/sec and 200MB/sec respectively. A few other features touted – RAID and TRIM support, sudden power-off recovery, dynamic bad block management and SMART commands.

There are three flavors available – 32GB for $79.99, 64GB for $139.99 and 128GB for $279.99. You can head on over to MyDigitalDiscount to buy them.
