With the MeeGo conference nearing on May 23rd we’re not surprised that some hardware is coming to light on the FCC. Until today we haven’t heard anything new about the N9 which promises to be the first MeeGo smartphone coming to market. The Linux based handset appears to be one step closer to market with the FCC giving it a stamp of approval.
The handset isn’t listed as N9 at the FCC, but as Nokia RM-680 which is its model number and the sketch provided by the FCC (pictured below) does resemble the N9 we’ve seen in leaked photos last year.

From the details let loose by the FCC, we know the N9 has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and support for multiple WCDMA bands – including 850MHz, 1700Mhz, and 1900MHz (yes, this means it’s compatible with the networks of AT&T and T-Mobile).
