Motorola revealed on tuesday that it has purchased California-based software developer SunUp Digital Systems. There are do details on how much money exchanged hands but the deal will build up Motorola’s Medios software platform. The acquisition will allow the company to manage live content across multiple screens, including TVs, smartphones, and tablets.

Motorola will also now be able to integrate its offerings with service providers, as SunUp’s software automates tasks and unifies subsystems with a set of modular, open standards-based apps for content.
