NVIDIA’s Optimus technology, a technology which will bring switchable graphics to netbooks and notebooks with NVIDIA and Intel integrated graphics has just uncovered. It was demonstrated on an upcoming notebook from ASUS (UL50Vf).
Optimus works in the background, on the fly and will detect an appropriate time to fire up and use dedicated graphics by detecting use of DirectX, DVXA or CUDA calls that require the graphics card.
Key Benefits:
* Optimus technology is completely automatic allowing you to experience longer battery life and amazing visuals without having to manually change settings.
* Behind the scenes and with no interference to what youre doing, Optimus seamlessly figures out how to best optimize your notebook computing experience.
* NVIDIA graphics youve come to expect, with more than 10x better performance with NVIDIA CUDA technology, allowing you to enjoy your applications and games without interruption or worry.
