If you’ve got a thing for Atom Pine Trail based Windows 7 tablets, Gigabyte’s S1080 for “mobile professionals” will be right up your alley. The 10-inch tablet that launched at the beginning of the year is now finally on sale in Taiwan and that’ll follow by the tablet going on sale in other parts of the world next month, like perhaps Australia, since we spotted product listings over there up last month. Taiwanese pricing is NT$22,900 ($787) which is, locally, a little higher than the iPad 3G with 64GB of storage.

In terms of specs, the S1080 is a notch above the rest of these Pine Trail Atom tablets as it sports the latest dual core Atom N570 processor, Bluetooth 3.0 and USB 3.0. The only downside, for the average consumer, would be lack of a HDMI port. There’s only VGA out.  The rest of the specs include a 10.1″ 1024 x 600 multi-touch capacitive display, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, a 320GB HDD, 1.3MP webcam, USB 2.0, mic and headphone jacks, SD card reader, mouse buttons, Gigabit LAN with Ethernet port, 802.11n Wi-Fi, SIM card slot, 29.4Wh 4000mAh battery and Windows 7 Home Premium. Weighs 895g.

We checked out the Gigabyte S1080 back when it launched in January, our hands on video below:
