There is no shortage of third party launchers available for the Android operating system. One of the newest to hit the Android Market is by SPB.

If you like eye candy, you’re going to love what Spb has done. You can add a near-unlimited number of homscreens, four of which are pre-made by Spb: time, weather, calendar, and Flickr. Beyond that, you can add blank homescreens onto which you can add Smart Folders (which will keep track of which items you click on the most), Spb widgets (most of which can take on multiple forms if you hit the green arrow in “Edit” mode), Android widgets (the ones that you’re already familiar with, or have downloaded from the Market), shortcuts, and more.

There’s plenty of 3D eye candy: the homescreen rotate in an intense geometric carousel, and stopping on a preconfigured widget will play a 3D animation; certain widgets can transform into a 3D view like contacts, photos, and weather; and managing panels is done through a three-dimensional area. At $14.95 it’s easily the most expensive launcher on the block – but do the features justify the price? Let us know in the comments!
