If you’ve even been carrying around your portable hard drive on your keyboard and watched it slip off into data recovery oblivion then you’ll be like me and thankful for thin and light portable hard drives. The folks over at Seagate have released a 2.5 inch external hard drive that called the Seagate GoFlex Slim. Its only 9mm thick and weighs less than 0.4 pounds.

The Seagate GoFlex hard drive is currently only available in 320GB HDD running at 7200RPM with a USB 3.0 interface. If you’re keen to grab one it will run you about $100.

I’m confused about the beginning of this article. What does the hard drive being thin and light have to do with someone dropping a harddrive?

Now with the thin and light the USB cable is able to save the HDD from falling. I lost 4 HDDs due to them being too heavy for the cable to save them!

I guess there aren’t that many people who are as clumsy as me! lol
