Leeenux Netbook OS hits 2.0

February 4, 2010 by Jon Norris

Lightweight Linux OS Leeenux has hit version 2.0, adding some visual polish, yet more Apps out of the box, and the installed size has been whittled down to 1.2GB.

As hinted in the name, Leeenux is an OS aimed at the Eee PC range, specifically 7″ Eee PCs, as it is optimised for a smaller screen.  It’s based on Ubuntu Netbook Remix, and if you’ve used that before (or the wonderful Jolicloud) this will be familiar territory.

The whole download weighs in at just 359MB, and can be yours now by clicking here.
