New Line Up of Archos Tablets Get Detailed: 1.6Ghz ARM Cortex-A9

Archos has a pretty long history in mobile multimedia players and they have been creating tablets since they were called MIDs! A few weeks ago the French company annouced that they the new line up of Archos Tablets were going to be priced at 100 to 400 Euro. Our colleagues over at ARMdevices.net has gotten the first details of the next generation of tablets and the spec sheet doesn’t look to shabby at all. Archos will be the first tablet manufacturers to market with the ARM Cortex-A9 processor with 1.6 Ghz Dual Core processor. They are still going with a HDD which allows them to be a bit cheaper and also offer large storage capacities of 250GB hard drives are available up to.

This will be their 9th generation of tablets and we are expecting an official announcement in June.
