A while back we heard about supposed future plans for the iPad – ditching the single physical home screen button, and adding multi-touch gestures in iOS 4.3. Obviously the iPad 2 isn’t buttonless and iOS version 4.3 is already here but we didn’t hear anything about these multi-touch gestures. Turns out they are there but hidden and they can be enabled just by installing a $5 developer app from Apple.
Swipes include up to four to five fingers and Gizmodo says you can’t go back to single finger poking once you’ve tried it. You’ll need to be upgraded to 4.3 first. Instructions and the types of gestures can be found at the source.
