Here’s what appears to be the first review of the AMD Fusion Zacate based ASUS Eee PC 1215B 12-inch notebook over at netbooklive.net. You could call this the AMD version of the Eee PC 1215N which comes with a dual core Atom D525 processor and Nvidia ION 2 graphics. Nothing new with the chassis (glossy display still), and no issues with noise and height as we’ve seen with other Zacate notebooks so we’ll skip right to what matters, performance and battery life. Performance, especially in games and multimedia tops the 1215N. I’ve thrown in some benchmark figures from the 1215N (and VX6) for comparison’s sake. Battery life was around 5 hours with the included 6-cell 5,200 mAh battery. It’s also worth mentioning his model had 2 x USB 3.0 ports, although there’s no guarantee yet that you might get a model without them.
