No, not the OLED-equipped DR-570 we got wind of last week.  ASUS UK has posted pictures of their new DR-950 on Flickr.  This model appears to have the same enclosure as the 570 (albeit scaled up from 6″ to 9″), but has a traditional e-ink monochrome display.

It remains to be seen if the DR-950 will bring anything new or inspiring to the now-crowded eReader party, but it’s certainly a looker.  No ugly navigation buttons or hard keyboard cluttering up the facia, this model is all screen, with what appear to be page turning controls on the right side, and three additional buttons along the bottom, and it’s only .35″ thick.

Taking a closer look at the pictures posted, the DR-950 seems to support Applications, has the pre-requisite built-in bookstore (although no word on where those books are coming from yet), and interestingly also has an option for “Donation Book” (A little tip at the bottom reads “Take up good deeds andlet got of hard feelings.  In helping others tofulfill their goal,we too gain.” – interesting spelling and grammar theirs).  This option could be one of two things – a way to donate eBooks to others (although my take on that would be that if someone can afford an eReader they can most likely afford the cost of books to read on it, too), or a way to give actual cash donations to charitable organisations (possibly added as a reaction to the huge surge in mobile and internet-based donations following the Haiti earthquake?).  Either way, it’s heartening to see a company like ASUS taking up the torch of charitable giving and providing people with an easy way to donate (and hopefully a decent eReader to boot).

The DR-950 will support expansion via SD card up to 4GB, has a 1024×768 display and would seem to support all the major eBook formats (ePub, PDF, HTML etc.).
