The Acer Aspire Timeline 180t ultrathin has been around the block but is coming through the curtains with an Olympic facelift. Acer have just launched a Special Olympic Edition that we spotted for pre-order on Amazon.com for $579.99
We are shocked to find out that in comparison to the non Olympic everyday Timeline 1810 we are seeing some features that stop it from being a gold medal contender. Featuring an 11.6 inch screen with 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, a very snappy 1.3GHz Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 processor and this is basically where the similarities end. The Olympic edition starts loose its game face when it only comes loaded with 3G of RAM rather then 4G and is running the crippling Windows 7 Starter rather then Home Premium.
We are shocked an appalled that Acer would pair substandard performance with the Olympics. Poor showmanship Acer, poor showmanship.
