Dell netbook roadmap According to APC Mag, Dell is getting ready to put an end to it’s endeavour into the 12-inch netbook market and many other manufacturers seems to be heading the same way. We only saw a single 12-inch model at Computex this year and most companies seem to be aiming towards the 11.6-inch space. It’s interesting to see that the Microsoft limitation for Windows 7 that states that netbooks are only allowed to have 10.2-inch displays or smaller doesn’t seem to concern the big boys like Dell and Acer. In all fairness though, according to the roadmap above which was published by APC Mag, the Dell Argos isn’t really a netbook, but rather a CULV notebook. Still, it’s unlikely that Microsofts new limitation will see the end of netbooks with larger display sizes, as this limitation only applies to the most basic version of Windows 7 so far, at least based on the information that has turned up on the internet. Time will tell what will happen in the near future, but maybe this is the break that Linux netbooks have been waiting for as well. You can find APC Mag’s story here

that's total BS. The first so called “netbook” (cause i would never call a 12-inch one a netbook) was the Samsung NC20, then the Lenovo Ideapad S12 and then way later, ages later the 1201N. Please no links to pure amazon blogs with no unique content, espacially after such a comment!
