Hp 210 undressed

One things I’ve always found quizical when I give netbook advice to people, when they hear that they are all, except for a few exceptions, based on the Atom platform, they think they are all equal. We know this couldn’t be further from the truth and we have to thank NDevil for proving it with some very clear numbers.

The HP Mini 210, and clocked nearly identical scores to the Asus Eee PC 1005PE and Acer Aspire One 532H in 3D Mark, PC Mark 05, and GeekBench benchmarks, the HP Mini 510 with a 6 cell battery didn’t stand up in the battery life department. The benchmarks showed real impressive numbers. In the 3D market managed 157 points (532H Acer and Asus 1005PE with 153/155). PC Mark 05 yielded 1345 points (1332/1410) and Geekbench 872 points (896/918). The Windows 7 index showed a value of 2.4 while the processor represented the slowest link and received the Intel GMA 3150 chip a rating of 3.1.

It didn’t run for 10 hours, it only ran for 7 hours and 42 minutes during a web surfing test. You still might think twice about kicking this netbook out of bed considering some of its competition in the notebook market. But since it is competing in the netbook space, we think you should hold out for 10+ hours of battery life.

Thanks NDevil Via Liliputing
