A HP representative gives us a tour of their Touchpad 9.7-inch tablet, along with the Palm Pre 3 smartphone that can interact with it for transferring data by placing it near the tablet. Multi-tasking – switch through apps by flicking left and right, flick up to close the app and click to focus the app. Apps like the mail and photo apps are built for the larger screen (as you’d expect) with multiple scrolling panes. Keyboard has several size settings in case you want more screen real estate or larger keys. Notifcations that pop up in the info bar at the top can be quickly disabled or you can flick through notifications by swiping on the message popup. I’m really liking the look of webOS 3.0. No official word on pricing yet but it’s headed for a summer release.

Hmm, i wonder if we will see a HP “surface” style table that use touchstone to dump photos from phones onto it, or vice versa. Hell, just take the most recent touchsmart all in one desktop, with its 60 degree angled stand, scale it up to some 24 inches or larger, and run webos on it. Now that would be a interactive computer!
