Apparently Intel has told a few sources that it plans to launch MeeGo tablets starting in June following with a big push in Q3 which is around the same time Intel’s App Up application store is expected to be ready – this is for the tablet version of MeeGo (v1.2) we’re talking about here. Chippy of CarryPad, who has been following Meego closely expects a possible launch of the OS at MWC next month (see his tweet).
So, June? That’ll mean these tablets will most likely launch at Computex, another big tech event held in the same month – exactly a year on from when we first got to see MeeGo on tablets at Computex 2010 (video below of one such device) but of course we’ll have some decent Intel hardware this year for tablets – Moorestown and Oak Trail.
