Gigabyte has unveiled a new netbook called the Q2005 that gets dual-core Intel N550 power.  The Dual Core N550 should offer decent performance even though the screen resolution is only 1024 x 600 which is slowly become sub par in the 10.1-inch world. For some the lack of 1366 x 768 might be a deal breaker, but if you can get past that the profile and build quality at first glance seem very solid.

The device comes with 1GB of DDR3 RAM that can be upgraded to 2GB, 250GB of storage, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 and a 0.3MP camera. Battery life wise it comes with the option for a 3-cell battery or 6-cell unit. Gigabyte does pack a good memory card reader inside the rig as its an 8-in-1 unit rather than just reading SD cards. I think an 11.6 inch screen in 10 inch netbook should be the new standard!
