We’ve already heard that HP is planning a 9 & 7 inch webOS tablet. Opal the 7″ tablet will hit the streets in September & Topax the 9″ in March. We’ve got more leaked information about HPs tablet strategy, first of the name of the series will be the HP Touchpad as HP has just applied for the trademark. I wouldn’t put too much stock in this since we’ve often seen companies file for multiple names just to throw us off.

Engadget has also received more tipster love about the specs, they got a copy of an internal survey whose aim was to judge user interest in features. So according to the questiosn HP will be using HPs Beat Audio technology and the tablet could come with a Touchstone charging dock that could turn it into an alarm clock & digital photo frame. Another cool feature is that you’ll be able to tap a HP smartphone and tablet together and share files. Tap to share has been something a few companies have been talking about for a while now, it will be good to see it in the wild with a dynamic OS.

The final piece of information we’ve seen today about HP tablet offerings is that they are fully embracing the cloud. Imagine being able to wirelessly access your music collection, your entire music collection! No details on whether this will require any kind of monthly fee but its a good kick in the pants for Google & Apple to get their services going.
