In a post about the netbook market staying strong with 30+ million shipments for 2011 is mention of a release date for the upcoming Atom N570 processor, which just suddenly popped up in product specs one day at CES and it was shortly confirmed to be clocked at 1.66GHz, vs the current N550 which is clocked at 1.5GHz. (Surely, I wasn’t imaging seeing it temporarily up on Intel’s product pages too – anyone notice that?) It’s expected out at the end of February and Lenovo, ASUS and Samsung are expected to release netbooks with the processor in March. Lenovo has the IdeaPad S100 and Samsung has the NC110 but ASUS hasn’t announced any such netbook with the CPU just yet.
